Our Leader Spotlight includes advice and insights from our clients and friends. It is our pleasure to shine the light on leaders who inspire growth, collaboration, and impact.

Meet Tasha Booker, CEO, Action for Children.

One piece of advice for leaders to create a workplace where people can flourish:

"Be intentional about your leadership style and how it lands with others. What works for one team may not work for another. Stay curious, read the room, and be willing to adjust. 'Flourishing starts with self-awareness and commitment to creating environments where people feel seen, valued and heard.'"

Helping people grow and succeed in their roles:

"One of the most effective strategies I’ve embraced in my leadership journey is empowering leaders with the tools and support they need—and then stepping back. I focus on hiring exceptional talent whose strengths complement my own, and I trust them to lead in their areas of expertise. My role is that of a coach: guiding, supporting, and creating space for others to thrive."

Creating a culture of collaboration and trust:

"I lead with transparency and vulnerability. I’m comfortable acknowledging what I don’t know and open about what I do. Sharing the full picture – builds trust and strengthens relationships. When the team sees we’re all working toward the same goal, they’re motivated to collaborate and solve problems together."
